Within our new rewards system we have recognised the need to:- • Enhance the motivation of students and raise achievement through rewards • Improve attendance and punctuality • Improve discipline • Strengthen links with parents who will be able to reinforce the sense of achievement • Increase students’ self esteem • Increase students’ self discipline so that all experience an atmosphere of mutual respect • Encourage attendance at extra curricular activities and school events 
The basis of our rewards system is now online recording of praise logs. Teachers, Senior Leaders and support staff are adding Praise logs on a daily basis. These logs can be accessed with the rest of your child’s personal data using your unique username and password on the e-portal link.We publicly congratulate children who achieve, both in and out of the classroom. There are many ways in which this is done, including The Aquinas Certificate awarded at Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum level at our end of term STAR Assemblies. Students who have made an outstanding contribution will have a Praise Postcard sent home. This is very popular with students and also their parents. Any teacher can nominate students who have performed outstandingly during the week.
