Netball Match Reports St Thomas Aquinas Vs Baverstock
We all arrived at Baverstock feeling confident and optimistic. After warming up rapidly due to the fact we were playing outside and light was limited, we soon got into the game. Although Baverstock won first centre pass, it was Fiona Steventon who scored the first goal of the game giving all our spirits a lift. As the game progressed, we began to take a huge lead. Our defence was strong and as a result Baverstock were unable to score in the first half.
At half time we were given some encouraging advice from Yvonne Murphy and after a short breather we swapped sides with Baverstock and continued to play some brilliant netball. Our fantastic performance continued throughout the second half and was reflected in our final score of 27-6.

St Thomas Aquinas Vs Bishop Challoner
Bishop Challoner arrived at our school and we were all determined to get on with the game. The team had support from all other year groups who stood along the side line cheering us on. The team captain, Adele Murphy, won the toss and chose to do first centre pass. The game started, and it was Shardai Gaye who scored the first goal putting us in the lead. The pace of the game was increasing rapidly and goals from both teams continued to be scored. Our attacking team were constantly successful at getting the ball into the attacking third, where great shots were made. On the defensive side, Colleen Murphy kept on intercepting the ball and bringing it back to the centre where the attackers would take over. Our senior team pulled together and played fantastic netball and our shots kept coming in, giving us a final result of 23-11.
