The Manion Centre is the school inclusion unit to which only five pupils from each year group are allowed access. The selection of pupils is discussed with Head of Year. The pupils are the most vulnerable in our school, due either to their social and emotional needs or because their challenging behaviour makes them vulnerable to exclusion.
The pupils are withdrawn from some of the lessons they find most challenging and work on improving their basic skills in Literacy and Numeracy. The pupils are also able to receive mentoring and to work in small groups addressing their anger management or social skills.
The Centre has a dedicated team of staff who aim to meet the needs of a wide variety of students in a positive, caring and affirming manner.
