Aquinas Fun Run

On Thursday, 14th April, runners and riders gathered for what's become the annual fun run to raise money for our House charities that cover the following:
Bosco - VICTA—supporting blind and partially sighted children and families
Fisher - Fisher House at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham
John Paul - Motor Neurone Disease
Martin - SIFA Fireside
More - Breast Cancer Care & St. Mary’s Hospice
Newman - Duchenne Children’s Trust & Cancer Research
Romero - Birmingham Children’s Hospital
Teresa - Acorns

Over 80 students and staff dressed in a range of costumes along the 'yellow brick road' route. The prize for the best outfit goes to Mrs Bayliss who went a long way in raising money for the Duchenne Children’s Trust & Cancer Research. A special mention to Josh who turned up to support with his parents who also travelled the route with the rest of the fundraisers.

Whilst sponsorship money is still being collected, it is believed that over £1200 was raised in this afternoon. A huge thank you to all who took part and sponsored the 'athletes'. It was just a shame that the course record of 3'05" wasn't beaten despite the best efforts of some.
